General Conditions 

Article 1 The online Hotelgoldcard Hotel Catalogue (referred to as the Hotel Catalogue) is supplied by Licency Hotelgoldcard. A hotelgoldcard entitles the holder to stay at any of the Hotelgoldcard hotels in accordance with the terms and conditions stated on the hotelgoldcard and described in the Hotel Catalogue.

Article 2 These terms and conditions apply to all Hotelgoldcard agreements, use of the Hotelgoldcard website, Hotel catalogue, and to any booking you make.

Article 3 Hotelgoldcard entitles you to:
A double room or room with two beds for two persons in the hotel with which you have placed your reservation for two or three consecutive nights. You are required to pay a minimum price for breakfast and dinner per person per night. The price is stated with the confirmation from the hotel and if this is not the case, in the Hotel Catalogue. Even if you do not eat breakfast or dinner at the hotel you are still required to pay the minimum price per person per night. The minimum price does not include drinks, cigarettes, taxes etc. The prices stated in the Hotel Catalogue are per person per night.

Article 4 You are responsible for making your own reservations by contacting the hotels or booking agencies. Hotelgoldcard is not responsible and/or liable for any bookings you make.    

Article 5 1. If you wish to make a reservation, you must contact the hotel yourself. 2. Bookings will be confirmed only if the hotel has rooms available. Hotels are entitled to refuse bookings for whatever reason they deem fit. 3. Your reservation is firm when confirmed by the hotel or booking agency, as the case may be. 4. PLEASE REQUEST CONFIRMATION IN WRITING/EMAIL FROM THE HOTEL. Article 5 Hotel charges must be paid on departure. Hotels may ask for a deposit when you make a reservation or on arrival at the hotel.

Article 6 1. Hotelgoldcard has exercised all due care and diligence in the production of this website. However, the information provided on the website and in the online Hotel Catalogue is only general information and Hotelgoldcard can not be held responsible for any information that is incorrect or incomplete. 2. Hotelgoldcard cannot be held responsible and/or liable for errors, inaccuracies or omissions in the Hotel Catalogue or on the website. Changes may be made to the facilities and services offered by hotels, terms and conditions of hotels and the number of hotels participating in the scheme over which Hotelgoldcard has no control. 3. Hotelgoldcard offers no guarantee for any Hotelgoldcard bookings with the hotels listed in the Hotel Catalogue. 4. Hotelgoldcard has no liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss or damage which is in any way the result of using the Hotelgoldcard website and/or hotelgoldcards. 5. Hotelgoldcard's liability towards the user as a result of its failure to fulfil any obligation in good time is limited to the price of the product as paid or value of the cover provided by any insurance policy and/or the amount which may be recovered from a third party, whichever is the higher. 6. Hotelgoldcard is not liable for any loss caused by wilfulness and/or gross negligence on the part of non-management staff.

Article 7 All bookings for free accommodation are considered firm when confirmed in writing by the hotel. To cancel a reservation, you must notify the hotel know in writing at least 14 days before the date of your stay at the hotel. If you fail to cancel a booking on time or if you do not cancel it at all, the hotel will charge you the minimum daily amount. ß 3a above, or the room price less the agreed discount cf. ß 3b above, for each day booked. If you cancel a booking at any time, the voucher you completed is automatically forfeited. For discount hotels the rules for cancellation differ and will be stated during the booking process.

Article 8 A Hotelgoldcard or hotelgold voucher is valid up to and including the date stated on the card or voucher, after activation. Activation costs may apply per voucher or card. Vouchers and cards without a date have a 12 month validity.

Article 9 A Hotelgoldcard voucher cannot be refunded and can only be used once.

Article 10 Hotelgoldcard is entitled to change these terms and conditions at any time, and without notification.

Article 11 Hotelgoldcard and all matters arising from them are governed by Swiss law. Hotelgoldcard is excluded from the provisions of the Vienna Sales Convention or any other existing or future treaty that may be relevant.

Article 12 All Hotelgoldcard agreements, the Hotel Guide, Hotelgoldcards, and all Hotelgoldcard bookings comply with the General Terms and Conditions of licency.
